So, recently I've been listening to :iconHaaiikujaguar: 's From Spark to Finish: Running Your Kickstarter Campaign, which has good advice for setting realistic goals for your campaign and also figuring out appropriate (and affordable) donation gifts. It's gotten me to thinking once again about using Audible's service to connect authors with audiobook narrators, to put together an audiobook version of Captive of the Red Vixen.
What I need to do first is figure out how much the whole project is going to cost. I'm figuring a minimum of $1500 for a 90 page novella, though I'm likely low balling that. First I need to set up a script for the narrator auditions and get their offers. After that, I have to figure what rewards and stretch goals to offer backers. Unfortunately I'm a writer not an artist like Hogarth, so the rewards I can offer are limited, but I've got a few ideas.
Preliminary Reward Ideas</u>
$1.00 - Follower! No reward, just the chance to follow the campaign.
$5.00 - Honorable Mention. Have your name read off at the end of the book.
$10.00 - Icon! An original social media icon created by one of my artist friends, probably featuring Melanie in her Red Vixen persona giving a thumbs up sign or something equally silly.
$15.00 - Hand signed thank you note, possibly from me or the Red Vixen "herself".
$25.00 - Copy of the Audiobook.
$30.00 - Everything below and the original Kindle file.
$50.00 - Reader's pack. Audiobook and copies of all the stories in the Red Vixen Adventures series.
$100 - The Whole Works. The Audiobook and copies of all my previously published stories.
??? - Tuckerization. I'm thinking about giving three to four people a chance to have themselves show up (either as Foxen or another species) for a brief cameo in the next Red Vixen story. This is the one I'm little shaky deciding a price for, especially given it'll be a significant percentage of the overall goal. I'm figuring a minimum pledge of $150, perhaps going p to $300
Stretch Goals
Here's where things get tricky. The only real stretch goal I can think of is perhaps a more professional cover for CotRV, and further audiobooks, but given the first is going to be just a $100 to $500, and the audiobooks at least $1,500 apiece, I have to figure out some intermediate goals between them. Thoughts would be welcome.
So waddya thinks, sirs?

The Ropes Room
Most of my bishounen in bondage images will be found here. Some occasional nudes, too.

Okay, that's weird.
So after posting Part 21 of Minerva's journey into the Furry Amsterdam BDSM world, I've gotten a whopping eight favorites in the past twenty-four hours, when the more usually fave rate is maybe 3 or 4 in a week (and two of those guaranteed from Vikki Rubbervixen slotting each part into two different folders). Which I have no explanation for except maybe adding a tag for "Prison", or possibly "Prison" and "German" made it pop up on multiple users Try This prompts on their front pages.

Character Concept: The Disaster Lesbians
So this is a concept that start percolating in my head while listening to Cage the Elephant's "Ain't No Rest for the Wicked" on endless repeat, which somehow mutated into the background music for a furry sci-fi Western bank heist ala Trigun/Firefly. Basic Concept: Three lesbian furries Do Crimes (or occasionally bounty hunting) leaving wreckage in their wake ala Dirty Pair. I don't have names for them yet but they fit pretty neatly into the usual Heist Story stereotypes. The Muscle: Species - Wazagan (because of course). 7 1/2 feet of kick-ass of blue hair and attitude, usually punching someone or firing a BFG, or possibly both at the same time. Considers bar brawls a recreational sport. The Brains/The Sniper: Species - Black Leopard. Usually dressed in a tweed Western style pantsuit, rounded wireframe sunglasses, likely with a cigarillo hanging out of her mouth. The planner of the group. She normally hangs back during a heist, picking off the opposition with a sniper rifle from a
Sometimes I Wonder About People
So yesterday someone PM'ed me, asking if I wanted to help them write an 8k NSFW Pokemon for a commission. Some relevant points: 1. I don't know jack about Pokemon nor do I have any Pokemon related stories in my gallery or my faves. 2. I don't write stories on commission, nor do I advertise that I do. 3. I have no idea who the person is, and our only relation is that we follow a couple of the same artists. 4. The specific mention "I haven't been paid yet for this" wasn't exactly inspiring. The weird thing is I'd have dismissed it straightaway as a scam, but it was a Core account with stuff actually in their own gallery. I just have no idea why they'd contact me randomly out of the blue like that.

I have no real advice since I know diddly doo to nothing about kickstarter and what/how it entails. like, I know the concept and read up on it. but I can't back it up (for living out of the US some times) or use it. so I'm not sure.
so far the rewards you're offering are good given what you're able to do. as for the goals or sub-goals... I really don't know.
overall, good luck. I'd love to hear one of your books as audio files someday.
quick question, which shoulder did Ali get her blood mark on? I've finally sketched out a concept for the Blooded cover.
